Privacy Policy — Remove Background Transparent

Effective date: August 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what Remove Background Transparent ("the app", "we", "us") does with your information when you use the app on iOS — above all, what happens to a photo you ask it to process.

No account, no login

The app has no login screen, no Sign in with Apple, and no account of any kind. It does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number, it does not create a user identifier for you, and it does not send any identifier with your photo. There is no advertising in the app, no advertising SDK, and no analytics or tracking SDK of any kind.

What happens to the photo you process

Background removal is not done on your device: it runs on paid image-processing services. This is the whole of the data flow, and the part of this policy that matters most:

Image-processing providers and how long they keep an image

Two independent providers are used, so that a failure at one does not take the app down. Each keeps request data for a period set by its own policy, which we cannot shorten to zero:

Because your photo is available to these providers for longer than the moment it takes to serve the request, our App Store privacy declaration reports Photos or Video as collected data, used for App Functionality and not linked to your identity. Neither provider receives anything from us that identifies you, and neither is permitted to use your image for its own purposes.

Purchases

Image credits are sold as one-time in-app purchases through Apple. Apple processes the payment and we never see your payment details, your Apple Account, or your name. Your remaining credit balance is stored in your device's own Keychain — we keep no copy of it, and we run no purchase ledger, no account database, and no server-side profile of any kind. Because there is no account, there is nothing on our side to look up, export, or delete.

Why we process this information

There is no advertising and no marketing profile built from your data, so we never process personal data on the basis of interest-based advertising.

Third parties involved

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.

Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app asks for no personal details at all. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the address below so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to this policy — for example, if we change which image-processing provider handles your photo — we will update the effective date above and, where required, provide notice in the app.
