Terms of Use — Remove Background Transparent

Effective date: August 27, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Remove Background Transparent ("the app"). By using the app, you agree to these Terms.

What the app does

You pick one photo, the app removes its background using paid image-processing services, and it returns the subject as a PNG with a transparent background. You can then save that PNG to your photo library or share it into another app.

What this app does not do

Background removal is machine cutting, not a guarantee: edges such as hair, fur, glass, and semi-transparent material are hard for every model on the market, and the app does not promise a perfect cut-out for any given photo. That is why a credit buys more than one attempt — see "Purchases" below.

Purchases

The app is paid-before-result: every delivered cut-out costs one image credit, and there is no free processing tier and no advertising. Credits are sold only as one-time consumable in-app purchases through Apple's StoreKit, in packs of 3, 6, 20, 50, and 150 images. Prices are shown inside the app in your local currency, as set by the App Store for your region.

A credit is spent only when a result is actually handed to you. If a run fails — a provider is unavailable, the request times out, or no subject can be found in the photo — nothing is deducted, and trying again costs you nothing.

Up to three runs per credit

One credit covers up to three attempts on the same photo: the first result, plus up to two further attempts you can request from the result screen if you are not satisfied. Each of those two attempts runs a different model, and neither deducts a credit. A failed retry does not take away the result you were already shown.

Your credit balance

Image credits are consumable purchases: they are used up as you process photos and, by Apple's design for consumable products, they are not transferred to another device. Your balance is kept in your device's Keychain, so reinstalling the app on the same device does not take away credits you paid for. If a purchase is interrupted — an Ask to Buy approval, a password prompt, or the app closing mid-purchase — the app delivers those credits the next time it runs, without any action from you.

Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own refund policies and procedures. We do not process refunds directly and cannot guarantee a specific refund outcome; you can request a refund through Apple's standard channels (for example, reportaproblem.apple.com) or via the App Store's built-in refund request flow.

Your images

You keep every right you have in the photos you process and in the cut-outs the app returns. You are responsible for having the right to use a photo you submit. How a submitted photo is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes: not to process images you have no right to use, not to produce material that infringes someone's rights or depicts a person in a way that is unlawful, and not to automate, script, or otherwise abuse the processing endpoint beyond normal use of the app.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where required, provide notice in the app.
