Which files can I open?
Email Viewer opens .eml and .msg files from the current item’s Files
columns and from its update attachments. Attached email files can open in the same view.
How does AI work?
Select Summarize with AI, read the data notice, and continue only if you accept it. The workflow sends the subject, sender, recipients, date, and email text to the app server on monday code in the EU region and then to OpenAI. Attachments are not sent. It returns a summary, requests with exact quotes, and deadlines. Review the result before creating subitems because AI can make mistakes.
What does Connect monday do?
Before your first AI use, choose Connect monday in the AI block of an opened email and authorize Email Viewer in monday. Connect lets Email Viewer check whether AI is available. It does not send email content, start AI, or provide a subscription or trial. Email Viewer asks separately for your consent to send an email for AI processing. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
What happens when I create subitems?
You select the requests to create, may edit their names and due dates, and confirm the board write. View-only users can read emails but cannot create subitems. A pending creation record keeps the selected request names, dates, and exact quotes until it finishes or is discarded; an unfinished record has no expiry.
If creation stops, reopen the same email to review the saved progress and retry or discard the saved record. Discarding does not remove subitems that were already created. A matching title or quote does not prove that an existing subitem belongs to Email Viewer or that two requests are the same, so review the item before deciding whether to continue.
Are remote images shown?
Remote images and tracking pixels in email content are not loaded.
